Holiday Overview
Vibrationalism understands that every year there are 4 significant solar events: two equinoxes and two solstices.
An equinox is the moment in which the plane of Earth‘s equator passes through the center of the Sun‘s disk, which occurs twice each year. This is a time when the northern and southern hemispheres are equally illuminated.
The solstice occurs at the moment the earth’s tilt toward from the sun is at the minimum (shortest day of the year) and the most maximum (longest day of the year).
Vernal Fest© (Spring Equinox)
The Vernal Fest is the celebratory event that is held near to the Spring Equinox. It is one of the four main holidays of Vibrationalism. With this celebration, Vibrationalist’s honor the Greening(verde) of nature’s gifts. On this day we gather to feast on foods from the trees and from the earth, we recite poems, songs and blessings, plant trees and collect money for planting of trees. Planting a tree is a concrete, practical act which has represented life and hope since ancient times. The planting is also performed at the birth of child in a Vibrationalist family and at the time of marriage, occasions when we concentrate on the possibilities for the future.
Good Vibes Day© (Summer Solstice)
On this day we gather with food, music, and dance for a fun and festive celebration of our thankfulness for vibrations. This is also a day of education about the importance of bees and other pollinators.
Circadian Day© (Fall Equinox)
This is a day of reflection. We honor the natural rhythms of our bodies and earth by removing excess and poor vibrations from our life. We join the hearts and positive vibrations of people from all over the world to position ourselves in the Alignment. Each person lights a sacred fire by a body of water (such as a lake, river, ocean, bowl etc.) and sends love, gratitude, and healing to the waters.
Primus© (Winter Solstice)
The elements of earth and air, fire and water embrace concepts of significance to all cultures, concepts around which we can all unite. The festival begins December 16 with the welcoming of the Vibrations, each day of Day 2-6 is for an element (Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Metal), and day 7 is the culmination of the festival with the Founder’s Feast. (Some locations include Founders Day, which is held on December 15th)
